Brownlow Coat of Arms

Below are several examples of Coats of Arms used by different individuals in the Brownlow line. Some are English and some are Irish. There are debastes as to which is which mainly because the family moved from England to Ireland.

You will notice animals and birds depicted in the design. The dog represents Master McGrath the famous dog owned by one in the Brownlow line. The bird is a footless marlet which is actual a martin. It represents one who is contantly moving or working. The lion represents deathless courage, and that of a valiant warrior. The goat is wisdom.
